It took some time to find the pattern I wanted, but I found this modest beauty.
I am stoked that I found a short sleeved summer dress and don’t have to do any alterations…as I don’t really even know how to sew yet so alterations may be a mission impossible. I am also stoked to find material to make that pretty green one in the back.
So the material was $12.00 a metre and I bought 2 3/4. Everything came to $45 (with my friends Fabricland discount card). Kind of pricy for a summer dress eh. But, the pattern will be used at least 3 times which makes the investment better, and I didn’t really shop around for a sale on the material which I could have done. And what makes it all worth it is I will be making it with my cousin, grandma, and aunt spending time with them…or them spending time fixing my mistakes hah. It will be way fun, and for sure I will post a picture of the finished product. And, if things go well, I am going to start a little dress making club called Bolt Me Baby. What do you thinketh?
